Just off the coast of Key West lies a unique habitat of lively rays and other intriguing sea life. Your group won’t have to travel to the southernmost point of the USA to enjoy a sunset celebration reminiscent of Duval Street. At Key West at SeaWorld, guests can touch a ray, view dolphins up-close, enjoy a frosty beverage and tasty gulf shrimp, and listen to the sounds of a steel drum Jimmy Buffet style band. A juggler, unicyclist or tarot card reader can add more interactive elements to the event.

And just steps away from Key West is SeaWorld’s newest attraction, Manta, the next generation of SeaWorld thrills and the perfect setting for desserts and entertainment. Taking you on an extraordinary journey from "seeing to being," this all-new breed of mega-attraction combines the best of the sea and the sky, immersing riders in the beautiful and mysterious world of rays, then taking them for a flying roller coaster thrill ride aboard the biggest ray of them all, the Manta. They’ll glide, speed, soar and spin headfirst like a ray on an experience that only SeaWorld could create.

Caribbean Connection

Bahamas, Brazil, Jamaica, Trinidad. Embrace the diverse culture, tastes, sights and sounds and feel the beat of each of these amazing countries and their neighbors….right here at Discovery Cove. The evening begins as guests are greeted by a lively Bahamian Junkanoo band that’s sure to have each and every guest checking their inhibitions at the door and finding an extra pep to their step. Guests may grab a cool cocktail – rum punch or mojito - and head off on a journey they won’t soon forget. As they make their way down the Nature Trail, guests will encounter exotic animals such as a sloth, anteater, or tropical birds.

Caribbean and Latin edibles will entice guests to meander around the patio. Guests can stop by one of the thatched hut bars for a cool drink or they can find a dance partner and begin to sway the island way to the rhythms of a Reggae Band. Grab your mask and a maraca, rhumba shaker or shac-shac and move towards the sounds of our Junkanoo band as they lead you out onto the beach.

The Chill Zone

Reception Capacity: 350 – 1,000

At SeaWorld’s Penguin Plaza, there’s a chill in the air! …and a party atmosphere that will keep the hottest party cool. Your DJ will sit on an “iceberg” stage high above the frozen surface below while cool beverages are served from an ice bar, featuring your company’s logo. It’s all inspired by our feathered friends at the Penguin Encounter, the heart of the party area and its inspiration. Cool lighting effects fill the plaza including multicolored “icicles”, nylon cones of varying heights that help create the icy theme. Light up cocktail tables and bars add to the cool contemporary look.

The DJ keeps guests going all night long as they choose from exhilarating thrill rides…taking a plunge on Journey to Atlantis or soaring on Kraken! It’s the perfect setting for an evening of networking and high energy excitement!

Shamu Rocks

Buffet Dinner or Reception Capacity: 500 - 1,500

Your guests will arrive through the private Sea Harbor entrance to fanfare that resembles player introductions at a championship game! Our interactive DJ will keep the energy level high while exuberant dancers, power skips and stilt walkers line the pathway interacting with the arriving crowds. Once inside, they’ll gather in the Sea Harbor Plaza’s four private acres featuring four separate covered Pavilions surrounding a beautifully landscaped center Courtyard for dinner.

As the evening unfolds, our entertainers will lead the way to Shamu Stadium for an exclusive performance of Shamu Rocks ~ a rock n’ roll concert of unprecedented proportions combining improvisational movements of killer whales with music remixed by some of the hottest rock stars in the industry including Savage Garden, Cold Play, Jennifer Lopez, Lighthouse and Shakira.

Driven by an urban beat and colossal effects, Shamu and a team of skilled trainers take center stage as killer whale performances transform the arena into joyous frenzy. A 3-story tail fluke flanked by four, 20-foot-wide rotating LED screens dominates the scene and showcases abstract visuals that can be combined to create an 80-foot-long panoramic screen, setting the stage for a colossal multimedia presentation that can be personalized for your group. Nearly 100 speakers throughout the stadium provide an optimal rock n’ roll surround-sound experience.
